Cisco has officially confirmed that it is working alongside Mercedes Benz to develop an optimal mobile office experience in the latter’s E Class vehicles. But what all will form this touted mobile office experience? Well, according to certain reports, the partnership will make it possible for drivers to conduct frictionless meetings and calls, and they will be able to do so using the Meetings and enterprise grade calling functionality from Cisco’s Webex suite. Beyond that, the Webex suite will bring into the fold its famous proprietary audio intelligence technology, which offers best-in-class noise cancelation so to aid anyone working while still in the car. Furthermore, the system makes it easier to be heard during calls, as it can single out and boost the clarity of an individual’s voice, and to complement this feature, it also eliminates distracting background sounds, such as road noise or any conversations being held between the co-passengers. Make no mistake, this work experience within your car is not conceived at the expense of driver’s safety. Instead, the development covers that aspect quite well by keeping meetings and calls, whenever the vehicle is on the move, to an audio-only format.
Among other features in play here, the drivers will be able to access options like automatic AI-powered transcription, content sharing, reactions, and much more.

Set to hit the market in 2024, the new Mercedes Benz E Class will be equipped with Wi-Fi and cellular data connection, along with the company’s dedicated app store to facilitate the download of Webex application. This application will be accessible through the vehicle’s infotainment system, therefore eliminating the need for taking out your phone time and time again.
