According to certain reports, the feature scans through all schedule data before performing an extensive analysis so to contextualize the stated information. Next up, it delivers the results in text format by automatically filling in the fields of an internal template with standardized text, customized with the project’s unique numbers. But what sort of data the feature actually relies upon? Well, the new reporting functionality gets its data from several unique metrics, including schedule quality, performance (plan vs. actual), critical path analysis, milestones, compression, and more. Another detail worth a mention here is how the feature is also well-equipped to accommodate new project updates that get added to SmartPM along the way, thus offering optimal flexibility when incorporating any need parameters.

When quizzed regarding the development, Michael Pink, CEO of SmartPM Technologies, responded by saying:

“This more or less goes back to the original goal for the SmartPM platform: to take the most complicated data set in the construction field – the schedule –and present it at a level that anyone can understand. The platform can still provide the ‘deep dive’ statistics, charts, and graphs, that some people require. But the report is an incredibly useful tool for the executive who wants that same information in an easier-to-digest, narrative format.”

Founded in 2012, SmartPM Technologies’ rise has been largely supported by its ability to leverage the usually overlooked data points across a construction schedule. This has helped the company in realizing a reality which consists of automated and more intuitive schedules, relevant reviews, and all those insights that can be critical when trying to mitigate risk, control costs, and increase the operation’s overall profitability. Now, though, the development in question here should get SmartPM to clock a level of efficiency that is much higher than whatever we have seen so far.
